I have to say that based on my first impressions, BritMums Live has been absolutely amazing. I’ve met some of my favourite bloggers and caught up with old friends. I’ve had too much wine, not enough sleep, and barely enough coffee, but I could not be happier.
From Ruby Wax, who spoke out about mental health difficulties and Black Dog Tribe, to Sarah Brown, who really is every bit as lovely in real live as I imagined she would be, the speakers have been wonderful and inspiring. I must admit that I’ve skipped out of a morning session to find comfy chair and just chill out a bit, but I’m really looking forward to the rest of the conference.
If you you’re at BritMums Live and haven’t met me yet, I’d love it if you’d come and say hello. I’ve decided to be comfy today and wear one of my favourite maxi dresses, a cardigan, and the same sandals I wore to my wedding. The photo isn’t brilliant, but I wasn’t very awake at all when it was taken. Please forgive my very neutral, slightly out of it, expression.
This weekend is also the Biannual Blogathon Bash and I must admit I’ve not put a dent in my to-do list yet. It’s okay though, I have two hours on a train by myself tonight to organize myself and get things done. I think I’m going to start with the mini-challenges and go from there, leaving some of the more boring admin stuff for later.
Anyway, I must pull myself out of this ridiculously comfortable chair in the TK Maxx lounge and go network and mingle. I promise to post about the conference again later, but in the meantime I’d love to hear from you. What are you doing this weekend? Are you at a conference like me or taking part in the blogathon?
