So, I used to do a Friday Five post in which I recounted five brilliant (in my mind at least) things from the past week. Last time I focused on living in England, however this time the topic is September. All of my life, the beginning of the academic year has brought changes, whether new beginnings or ‘do-overs’, so it’s not that odd that I tend to start the month with a new set of goals.
– Hubby is back at work and the boy goes back to school next week meaning I have time to myself once again. As much as I love them, I have to admit I’m looking forward to some peace and quiet.
– The weather has started the change ever so slightly. There are still warm days now and then, but the nights are cooler and that coupled with the leaves floating down from the trees brings back fond memories of bonfires, football games and dances.
– I’m knitting again and plotting to finally finish a sweater or cardigan for me that I don’t frog once I’m done with it.
– Blogging is back on the agenda once again. This time I’m aspiring to be slightly more structured so that writer’s block doesn’t stop me in my tracks.
– University courses resume the end of this month and I have to admit I really am looking forward to returning. I’m sure by about two weeks in I will be wishing it was summer again, but for now I’m looking forward to having more structure to my days and challenges for my mind.
